| The Persecuted Church
North Africa
From a Christian worker
I have seen in my North Africa brothers here a kind of faith of which I am not familiar.
For three days now at hours-long meetings several times a day, the brothers have been taken before a huge group at the Imam's (Muslim leader's) place. They have been threatened and ridiculed. Still they have stood firm.
Several have spoken up on behalf of their faith before over a hundred hostile people. One cried afterward for joy, saying that he had never spoken out before a crowd about anything. Today, he spoke before dozens with boldness and afterward acknowledged that it was only because of the Holy Spirit that he could have done that. Another brother has said that as difficult as the trial has been, he hopes it could go on for 30 more days because of the opportunity it has given to proclaim the message before dozens of influential religious leaders.
In all my life I have not experienced a more faith building and intense trial as this has been. It is still not over. But there is an incredible opportunity here to see the truth illuminate a very dark place. Please continue to pray for our Father's glory.
2 Thess. 1:4 "Therefore, we ourselves speak proudly of you among the churches of God for your perseverance and faith in the midst of all your persecutions and afflictions which you endure."
