God’s
presence in calamity
By
Suzanne, a Texas summer missionary
I am
sure by now you have heard that there have been several
explosions in London. All the affected areas are our “stomping
ground” for our summer missions teams, but we are
OK. Please pray that God can be glorified through this
and that people will look to the Lord for peace and security.
A really cool story ... a few nights ago an Iraqi Muslim
man became a follower of Christ!!!!!!!!!!! Yea, this is
really exciting! It takes on average seven years for a
Muslim to become a Christian. He is staying at our church
and being discipled by an Arab speaker. Oh, it was so exciting
to be in the presence of a new life beginning. The atmosphere
was electric and we just jumped up and down and praised
God all night long. It was incredible!!! The Lord be praised!!!!!
This new brother saw us all the morning of the bombings,
sitting on the floor glued to the radio and praying fervently
for peace and for God to be glorified through this time.
We grabbed his hands and pulled him in and just dedicated
the time to God. He saw Christians in action during fear
and uncertainty!! May God use all these incidents to bring
glory to Himself!
