Bangladesh Illiterate but Not Forgotten by God

From neglectedfields.net/bmb.htm

"Sahida" is one of the many illiterate Bihari Muslim women working as domestic helpers in the Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is fortunate to have a stable job to provide for her three children and her bedridden husband. Her employers are Christians and in recent months have allowed a regular Bible study for domestic helpers to take place in their home. Sahida looks forward to these weekly meetings with five other Bihari women who share her Bihari culture and Urdu language and occupation. Most of them are widows or divorced women forced to work outside their home. A Bengali woman is teaching them basic truth about Jesus and how He listens to and answers prayer. As Sahida and the other Bihari women are learning to trust Jesus, pray that they will gain full understanding of the gospel and commit their lives to Him. Pray for their protection since their families and neighbors still do not know about their new journey of faith. Pray that they will have opportunities and courage to invite other Bihari Muslims to follow the One who said: ‘’I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except trough me.’’
