FAQ

What are the benefits of Hands On for a participant?
  • 1) An amazing experience overseas serving as     a part of a missionary team
    2) A missions experience marked by quality –     with training, debriefing, and an     opportunity to be mentored and     discipled by experienced missionaries
    3) One set price $2600, plus passport and     immunizations
    4) One limited medical insurance policy (does     not cover pre-existing conditions)
    5) A once in a lifetime experience
Will I serve on a team?
  • Yes! All Hands On participants serve on a team with other Hands On
    missionaries and IMB missionaries.
What will my housing be like?
  • Housing for each location of Hands On will be different – but adequate to
    meet all your needs.
You may live in an apartment, a hut, or in a home with a missionary family.
Can I receive college credit for serving with Hands On?
  • Possibly. Some colleges and universities offer college credit for serving
with Hands On. For more information contact Chad Stillwell.
Can I modify the dates of a project?
  • Not really. Projects have a very specific beginning and ending day for a
reason. The orientation and debriefing activities for each Hands On term
are incredibly important and we ask participants to commit in in advance to a full term.
