Steps to Applying
Find some preferences – Job Numbers
When you fill out your on-line application, you’ll be asked to provide the job numbers for three Hands On projects you’d like to do. Though you’ll only do one of them, we’d like you to list your top three in order of preference. Some jobs fill up quicker than others, and the right fit for you may just be a project that was originally your second or third choice.
You can find job numbers located on the Places to Serve page.
How long does the application take?
Once your application is complete (including an online application and the submission of all four references) you will be contacted within two weeks.
Questions
We’ll ask you detailed questions about your faith and why you want to go, as well as questions about your education, experience and health.
References
You’ll also be asked to print out and send reference forms to four people. These should be:
1. Your pastor or a church staff person who knows you well.
2. A professor or supervisor.
3. A Baptist student minister, campus or church staff.
4. A friend.
