How to Apply:
There are two ways to apply for international missions
with the IMB:

Apply directly through the IMB
(See directions below).
- For college students who are active in BCM/BSU: Apply through the Baptist Campus Ministry/Baptist
Student Union state
office in the state where you attend college.
If you are applying directly through the IMB,
please do the following:

Submit an application online
(see further instructions below).
To use the application pages, you must have an up-to-date
Web browser. Upgrades are free! Click on the browser you use
to upgrade now: Internet
Explorer Netscape
- Download Reference
form (Adobe
Acrobat format) and save it to your computer. Send an email
to your references with the Reference form as an attachment.

Distribute the reference forms to all four references to
include the following people:
- Your Pastor or Church Staff
- Your Baptist Campus Minister (BSU/BCM) or Church Student
Minister
- A Professor or Employer
- A friend
- Ask each reference to return the completed reference form
electronically as an attachment to StudentTeam@imb.org.
- If you are not able to complete the reference forms electronically
please call 800-999-3113 ext. 1546.
- For High School Applicants Only: Complete
the parental
consent form with necessary signatures.

Click the button
at the bottom of the page to go to the online application form.

Register as a new user, and then wait for an
email to be sent to you with your username and password. You
must use the password assigned to you in this email to access
the online application.
- If you are applying for a North American missions
project, you can complete the application here. On the application,
choose “NAMB” in the space that says: "Organization
applying through".
- Complete the entire application, using
the “save and continue” button at the bottom of each
page, and then print the summary page that appears. This
printed copy will be the only access you have to your application
once you click “submit”.

If you do not complete the entire application
at one time, you will need to save your work page by
page before you log out, or your answers will be lost.
- When you have completed all pages and printed
a copy for your files, click the “submit” button to
send your application to the International Mission Board. Remember:
once you hit “submit,” you are no longer able to modify
or access your application.
Application Deadlines
We will make assignments as we receive applications.
We will not review your file until we have your completed
application and all four references. All assignments are
made on a first-come, first-served basis. Please have your application
AND references complete at least two months prior to the start
date of the project—earlier is always better.
Applications are reviewed within 10 days of an
application being completed. A completed application includes
the receipt of all four references.
Assignment
Please indicate your assignment preferences on your
application. Please include both the location and the project number
of the assignments you prefer. Students applying directly to the
IMB rather than through the state BSU/BCM system can view all available
projects in the Mission
projects section.
It's our desire to honor your assignment preference,
but we want to ensure that you serve where it would best fit your
personal and spiritual maturity, as well as your ministry experience.
Therefore, we may need to assign you to a project other than your
first preference.
