There are 434 people groups in China; 421 are considered ethnic-minority
groups.
Only 55 ethnic-minority groups are recognized by the government.
Of the 55 official groups, 22 have populations of less than
100,000.
The majority of the smaller groups do not have potable water
or medical clinics.
Most of the smaller groups lack schools, telephones and postal
services.
365 of China's ethnic-minority groups are considered unreached,
and 215 have no known Christians.
