Question 2: How do we handle logistics of getting students to the field (travel agents, etc.)?

Answer:

(for students filling state projects)
If a student is filling an IMB project by applying through their state convention student department, they are usually given logistical assistance by their state office. This may include provision of full or partial funding. It may include arrangements for plane tickets, insurance, visa and inoculations. Each student who will be serving through their state convention should check to see what the state provides for them.

Information on travel agents, insurance, details about international projects and funding student projects is available to state leadership on this Web site.

(for students filling non-state projects)
Students who apply directly to the IMB are responsible for raising their own finances for trip expenses. The IMB recommends travel agents who will handle travel arrangements and visa application. The IMB Student Mobilization Team provides guidance in getting insurance and immunizations.
