Josh
Daffern made friends with a lot of kids during his
two years in Botswana, from these healthy ones to
"lifeless-eyed AIDS orphans with open sores
(asking) for just a few pennies, for a little bread
to eat." |
 |
In
Botswana, Josh Daffern felt the joy of "seeing
someone's eyes light up when they hear the name of
Christ for the first time," and the heartache of
"knowing that thousands die weekly without knowing
Christ, simply because there aren't enough
Christians around to tell them." |

Daffern, aka Joe Cool, chews the scenery during an
evangelistic skit at a church in Australia. The
summer in Australia (in 1998) was one of several
mission projects Josh participated in during his
years at California Baptist University. |

journeyman) act in an evangelistic skit during a Cal
Baptist University mission outreach to Australia.
The Cal Baptist team used drama extensively to open
doors for sharing Christ. |

Josh
Daffern and other Cal Baptist team members clown
around at an Australian public school campus to draw
a crowd of teens. Later they shared the gospel one
on one. "As a direct result of God's working
in my life through college missions
experiences," says Josh I went on to serve in
Botswana, Africa, as a journeyman." |
