God's Peace Speaks for Itself

We had a contact named Sammy in one of the towns. He invited us to his home one Saturday afternoon to talk (he spoke English) and to read some poetry he had written about his life. Sammy was a devout Muslim, but he told us of some Christians (Mormons) who he formed relationships with a couple of years prior. When he spoke of these people, you could tell he had admiration, respect, and love for them. He had gone to church with them and commented to us that Christians taught peace, and how could that be wrong? Muhammad killed people, he said, but Jesus was a peaceful man. He told us that Christianity really stressed peace - that's what it was about - more so than Islam, and that if Christianity was wrong, then what hope was there?

These words were straight from the mouth of a devout Muslim, and he didn't have anyone beating him over the head with a Bible. It just really showed that the only thing needed to bring someone to Christ is the Holy Spirit - he can move in anyone.
