North Africans get The Message in France
There are around 4 million North Africans who live in
France. Many of them go home to visit their families during
the summer months each year, traveling by boat to Algeria and
Tunisia from the ports in the south of France. In recent
years, teams have taken advantage of this opportunity by
distributing Christian materials (new testaments, J. Films,
and tracts) at the ports. We were able to be there and be a
part for 3 weeks during August. The incredible thing about
this project, is that distribution of these materials in
Algeria and Tunisia is strictly forbidden by law. So by
distributing there at the port in France, the Word was able to
enter an area extremely closed to the Truth!! You can praise
the Father with us as over the course of this summer over
200,000 of these materials were put into hands of people who
need the truth of His word!!!
I could share so many stories of how I saw Him work in
amazing ways, but I will just share one. One day I was
distributing at the pedestrian gate and offered a packet (full
of the above items) to a Tunisian man and his wife. He looked
at it peculiarly for a minute and then looked at me and asked
"Why are you a Christian?" I was overjoyed at the chance
to share with him!! He smiled, took the packet and said, "Thank
you so much. You are very nice."
Then his wife came over to inquire, "Is this book, the
New Testament, in French or just Arabic?"
"Both," I told her.
"Good," she replied. "I can read French and I am
going to read it on the boat tonight." She thanked me too
with a huge smile and off they went!
I was so overjoyed at the obvious workings of the Holy
Spirit in their lives. Please pray for them and the many
others who received packets, that their eyes would be open to
the truth, and that their family members in these countries
would be touched as well.
Many took packets home as gifts for their families they
told us. Praise the Father that he even uses secular
transportation for his glory among the nations!
