God Provides for IWC Project in Jordan
I know it has been a few days since you have
heard from us, but we have been very busy preparing for our
PPD (Punt, Dribble, Pass) camp and the English Language Camp,
which starts today. Yesterday was our PPD Camp and it went
well. This is the first time a PPD camp has been hosted in
this part of the world and we had about 40 students participate.
As well, we had face painting, balloon animals, gifts and
live music. The students and their families had a great time
and joined us in the motions to "Every Move I Make" and a
new song we learned while here. Your students made this a
fun day for the Jordanian students and we know that this is
only the beginning. Last night we met, as a team, after the
evening praise and worship service. Personally, I wanted the
opportunity to hear all the great things that God had done
in calling them and providing for this trip. Needless to say,
there was not enough time to hear from everyone, but we were
amazed and blessed by the stories of those who did. Here are
some of the things that were shared: *One of the students
and her Mom were going to the post office to mail the last
$400 knowing that the money was not available. On the way
she and her mother found an envelope under the car mat (which
had been given to the father a week earlier) with this
student's
name on it. You guessed right! In the envelope was $400 that
someone had donated to this student for this trip. *Several
of the students shared how their youth groups had helped provide
the money needed to pay for this trip. *One student worked
at the Masters and received $1,500 that day. *One of the students
was invited to speak at the Lion's Club and, after speaking,
they asked how much money she needed, and she told them $300.
They wrote her a check! *One student shared that this was
an opportunity for him to see another country and that was
his reason for coming. However, while in Jordan God has showed
him how desperately he needs a relationship and not just an
experience. Each morning they have an hour long "Call to
Prayer"
and so he is seeking to hear God and grow and to take this
home with him. As well, he feels called to be a missionary!
I could go on and on but time is short. Please continue to
pray for us and for the students who will be coming to camp
starting today.
Faithfully His, Kathy
